Effective from February 2026, administrative penalties for visa overstays follow a sliding scale tied to the overstay duration:
- Up to 3 days: VND 500,000 – 2,000,000
- 4 – 15 days: VND 3,000,000 – 5,000,000
- 16 – 30 days: VND 5,000,000 – 10,000,000
- Over 30 days: VND 10,000,000 – 25,000,000 + potential entry ban
